What Does the Bible Say?
In Deuteronomy 18:ix-xx, God warns His people not to engage in divination, cast spells, or consult mediums, nor listen to anyone who speaks in the proper noun of other gods. These fake prophets should be put to death, He says.
God expresses His displeasure even more than fiercely in Jeremiah — both nearly the false prophets and those who mind to them.
"Therefore this is what the Lord says about the prophets who are prophesying in My name: I did non send them, yet they are saying, 'No sword or dearth volition touch this land.'
